Congratulations to the Recipients of the Partnership Community Advocacy Grants Program!
The Partnership would like to thank all applicants who submitted proposals to the program following the announcement of the competition at the U.S.-Middle East Partnership’s first regional advocacy conference in Amman in November 2008. The grant committee has selected 8 small community grant ideas which support breast cancer education and awareness initiatives including: targeted outreach, training of trainers, enhancing patient treatment, developing support groups, supporting capacity building and other partnerships and collaborative efforts. The selected grantees reflect innovative, collaborative, complimentary and geographically diverse projects that will be completed before the end of this year.
Over the next six months, our grantees will be encouraged to use the website and network to present their project ideas, publicize events, start discussions, post photos, and more. We encourage all network members to read about these projects, share your thoughts and suggestions and add to the success of their initiatives through your own experience and ideas.
Please join us in congratulating the following grantees and wish them luck as they implement their programs.
Monthly updates on the grants and opportunities for collaboration will be posted on the network!
